Open Mike Eagle vs. Paul F Tompkins

Open Mike Eagle will be playing a set at the Paul F Tompkins show on 11/19/11!! If you know anything about either of these guys, you know how incredibly rad this is! I’ve been to a few of the shows that Paul F Tompkins does at Largo and have never seen hip hop in the mix… so, to have Open Mike Eagle is great because these 2 things (music and comedy) will be brought together at a dope venue.
Seems comedy and music have a fairly stressed relationship over all (besides a couple obvious exceptions) and I am really hoping something like this will be an introduction/starter for a new template.

Open Mike Eagle – Why Pianos Break (feat. P.O.S.)

Cannot wait for this damn album to be available! Was announced today that the release date is being pushed till 6.14.11. This track WHY PIANOS BREAK (FT. P.O.S.) will have to hold us all over for the time being…. after listening though, I realize this will not be difficult… Open Mike Eagle does not let down, especially with P.O.S. alongside, killer combination! Hard hitting while still having a sentimental and haunting feel.

Thirsty Fish – Watergate

Thirsty Fish has struck a vein. The newly released album WATERGATE is a fast-moving collaboration between Open Mike Eagle, Dumbfoundead and Psychosiz that I’m loving. With three totally different styles from each of them it almost seems they might not mesh well together….. WRONG. These dudes kill it!! I highly recommend checking out this album. If you enjoy it, the digital download is only $7.

Feeling even better about the upcoming show than I previously was! I somehow hadn’t heard of Open Mike Eagle until finding out that he was also playing the show Feb11th@Airliner that we (@K_serious and I) will be playing. After looking at some videos and checking some tracks out, I’m even more excited for this show. Feel blessed to not only get the opportunity to play with people/artists I already appreciate and look up to, but also to find new artists that keep things fresh and give us all something to look forward to.

Very excited to announce that @k_serious and I will be playing February 11th at The Airliner in LA with Crown Royale (@Buff1der and @rhettmatic). If you aren’t familiar with these guys…. GET FAMILIAR.
